Hyannis Port, MA 2022

This classic turn-of-the-century seaside Hyannis Port home was purchased by a family excited to return to summers on Cape Cod. Knowing the house required a renovation honoring the original structure and bringing it forward with updates for the next century, the clients hired JNA and interior design firm Clodagh Design of New York City to collaborate on the project. The house revealed the need for a robust intervention, so it was lifted in the air fifteen feet, rolled east five feet, and set on a new foundation. The west wing was torn down and rebuilt, for structural reasons, and replaced with the identical form.

Today, the 1903 family home presides over the marsh and welcomes new generations to gather and celebrate the seasons of Cape Cod.
