This classic turn-of-the-century seaside Hyannis Port home was purchased by a family excited to return to summers on Cape Cod. Knowing the house would need to be renovated—but not altered in a significant way—JNA was hired as the architect and New York City designer Clodagh Design was brought on for the interiors.
The house revealed the need for a robust intervention, so it was lifted in the air fifteen feet, rolled east five feet, and set on a new foundation. The west wing was torn down and rebuilt for structural reasons, being replaced with the identical form.
When completed, this 1903 family home will once again sit above the marsh and be ready for multiple generations to gather and celebrate the seasons of Cape Cod.
